Artisan Backsplash Designs

Arts & Craft design was the inspiration for these backsplashes. Materials included Artisan tile manufacturers Encore Ceramics, Pratt & Larson & BonTon Designs. Kitchens by Cherry Hill Cabinetry in Fredericksburg.

Custom Fountain

Tile Art has been open in Fredericksburg for over a year now and one of the projects in our showroom is a fountain tiled almost entirely in crema marfil. Husband Frank began creating it pretty much when we opened our doors. While still incomplete, it definitely adds a great deal to the sample of some of our custom work. If ever in the area, stop in and take a look.





Each subway 3x6 & 6x12 is cut from a larger 12 x 12 honed crema marfil, as is each individual piece that makes up the arch around the niche in the back wall. The decorative panels of 3x6 in a herringbone pattern are also custom cut. There are two more arched niches to go as well as an arched decorative over-hang in the front. Split-face stone mosaic in Classic light offers the textured surface for water to fall into the half round well which is faced all the way around with custom cut 1 1/2 x 12 "slats" of marble.

Making Your Home a Work of Art!

Thanks to my friend Lacey for great photos of a job we did back in the fall. The Multi-Red Onyx "art panels" were complimented beautifully with California Gold ledger stone on the fireplace with random slate on hearth. Behind flat screen TV is a black high cleft slate. Custom wall remodel was done by our good friends at Patuxent Renovations.

Contemporary Glass Backsplash!

So grateful for clients with an adventurous spirit! We had such a great time helping add the finishing decorative touch to this fun new kitchen! Random colors, shapes & textures of glass complimented beautiful new granite countertops and cabinets.
